Is CineSense free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use. A small number of ads appear between content.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not to try it. You can start swiping right away as a guest. After a few swipes we ask you to sign in to save your taste profile, get personal picks and keep swiping.
Is it available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. CineSense is on both the App Store and Google Play.
How does the Affinity score work?
We compare your loved and watched movies against each friend's, weighted by how rare each film is in the wider community. Two people who both loved a hidden gem count for more than two people who both saw the year's biggest blockbuster.
Can my friends see everything I swipe on?
Friends only see the movies you've loved, watched, or added to your watchlist, the basis for your Affinity score. Movies you skipped stay private.
What if a movie is missing or has wrong info?
Movie data comes from TMDB. If something's missing or incorrect, it's usually already fixed in TMDB's catalog by the next sync. You can also report it in the app's feedback section and we'll look into it.
